If you’re overburdened by debt, you may have been told to seek “government debt relief programs”, but to the contrary, such a program does not exist. The US government does not sponsor any type of assistance with debt in the form of debt relief (also known as settlement or adjustment), debt consolidation, or grants specifically geared toward debt.
Customer service was decent (and much better than National Debt Relief!). But no better than Clear One Advantage.
They also offered a free credit counseling consultation (they all do) with a licensed credit counselor (in the above states) to review your debt accounts, help you create a realistic financial budget based on your income. |
Appeared to have a lot of bad press & reviews. That put us off them. But we checked them out for research anyway.
They had a legit service but we found better customer service, transparency, interest rates at National Debt Management, and in the end that meant more money in our pocket.
What we like the most was National Debt Management is their debt payoff tool rolls several debts into one easy & affordable monthly payment. They will give you the peace of mind, knowing that a licensed not-for-profit credit counseling agency is expertly handling your debt accounts.

In your (free) credit counseling consultation, a licensed credit counselor will review your debt accounts, help you create a realistic financial budget based on your income and explore all available options for debt relief. Debt settlement programs are helpful for anyone struggling with overwhelming debt and in need of a more affordable monthly payment. Settlement programs allow debtors to negotiate lower balances on qualified creditor accounts.
Depending on one’s financial situation, how much debt they are struggling with, and their current goals, some programs are a better choice than others (more/less aggressive)… they focus on providing all the pros and cons of each program to each client, and let them decide what is most suitable.
As a full service credit counseling agency, they recognize that debt relief is not a complete solution for all clients. In certain instances, bankruptcy counseling may be a more helpful solution for qualified individuals. If you do not qualify for a debt relief program, or cannot afford to make any payments to your creditors, you may want to consider bankruptcy as an option. Prior to the filing of any bankruptcy, you are required by law to complete a pre-bankruptcy counseling session (according to amendments made to the bankruptcy code in 2005). Additionally, you are highly encouraged to seek the advice of a qualified attorney.
After reviewing the market we liked National Debt Management the best. They had the best program, professional and caring people. On top of that they also offer free credit counseling consultation. We would recommend at least speaking to one of their licensed credit counselor to see if they can help you with your debt problems.
